Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
We collect no personal data. You can edit PDFs in your browser without an account. Exporting a PDF sends your files to our server temporarily for processing; they are not kept after the download.
1. Who We Are
PDF Tool (pdftool.website) is a free, browser-based PDF editor. You edit in your browser; when you export a PDF, files are sent temporarily to our server to build the download and are not kept afterward.
2. Information We Collect
We do not collect names, email addresses, or account profiles. We do not store your PDF content after export completes.
We may receive usage analytics through Google Analytics (for example: pages visited, general device/browser type, approximate region, referral source). This does not include the text or contents of your PDF files.
Our hosting provider may retain standard server access logs (IP address, user agent, URL, timestamp) for security and operations.
3. Hosting & Server Logs
PDF Tool runs on a web server that serves the app and processes PDF exports. Server logs are used for security and reliability, not sold to third parties.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Google Analytics (GA4) — website usage statistics (measurement ID G-KGZX1E19BV)
- Google AdSense — advertising (if enabled)
- jsDelivr — JavaScript libraries
- Cloudflare cdnjs — PDF.js, Font Awesome
- Google Fonts — Open Sans typeface
CDN requests may expose your IP address and browser information to those providers. Your PDF file content is not sent to font or CDN providers during normal editing.
5. Cookies & Consent
We use Google Consent Mode with Google's consent message (CMP) where required. Until you accept, analytics and ad cookies stay disabled by default.
After you click Accept (or manage preferences), Google Analytics and AdSense may set cookies to measure traffic and show ads. You can change your choice anytime in the consent settings shown on the site.
We use cookies to tailor your experience and present relevant ads. By clicking "Accept", you agree that cookies can be placed per our Privacy Policy and Google's policies.
6. Children's Privacy
PDF Tool does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. As no personal data is collected at all, this service poses no particular risk to younger users.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the service after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
